Spaulding
for Children's signature color is purple, PMS 2685. When

or the RGB values 102, 51 ,153.
Spaulding
for Children Identity - Signature
|
Spaulding
for Children's signature is a key element of the company's
identity. Its appearance, proportions, and typeface are never
to be altered. The font used in the logotype is Times New
Roman but the logotype is never to be retypeset, just as the
monogram is never to be redrawn.
Our
signature is to be reproduced only in PMS 2685, black
on white, or reversed white over a photograph or color. Although
the signature can be used white over other colors, it is ideal
to print white over PMS 2685. When printed over a photograph
or color, the photo or color must offer enough contrast that
the signature is clearly recognizable. Never use the Spaulding
for Children heart monogram without the logotype unless the
logotype is near and then only if the monogram is a secondary
graphic.

Dear
Spaulding for Children Website Visitor,
Almost 30 years ago, a small group of volunteers started
Spaulding for Children with a basic concept – that no child
is unadoptable. In those 30 years, we have proven that our founders
were right – and we have done it more than 1,400 times. During
your visit to our website, I hope you have discovered some of the
many success stories of our families, and learned more about the
children who still wait for the permanence and stability they can
only receive from a loving, nurturing, adoptive or lifelong foster
family. We are proud that more than 1,400 children’s lives
have been forever changed through our services, thanks to the hard
work and dedication of our staff, our Board of Directors, our volunteers,
but most importantly, our families.
I would like to point out that many of our successes are due, in
part, to our strong commitment to collaboration. We believe that
the best way to achieve permanency for our communities’ waiting
children is to leverage our skills and competencies with others
in the community to achieve even greater results. Here’s just
a partial list of our collaborations:
Adoptation
– Spaulding for Children was a founding partner of this four-year
public/private collaboration formed among the Texas Department of
Protective and Regulatory Services and six private agencies to facilitate
the placement of more children in permanent adoptive homes.
Casey/Spaulding
Collaboration – A unique collaboration with Casey
Family Programs to develop an integrated continuum of permanency
options for children, regardless of their legal status.
Children’s
Permanency Collaborative – This collaborative joins
together public and private agencies, Harris County District Courts,
the Dispute Resolution Center of Harris County and others to demonstrate
how mediation can help expedite the legal process for abused and
neglected children.
As you can see, collaboration and innovation are core values for
Spaulding for Children. Likewise, we always are looking ahead, planning
our growth to make sure we continue to meet the future needs of
our children and families. In 2001, the staff and Board of Directors
jointly completed a Strategic Growth Plan to guide the agency over
the next several years. After countless hours of research, focus
groups, interviews and meetings, the Board of Directors approved
the plan in November 2001.
Our growth over the next three to five years will focus on two
primary areas: post adoption services and the further expansion
of our adoption efforts. Our post adoption growth will initially
focus on the development of our Helping Hands Program, which expands
respite programs for our families. Our adoption growth will continue
in the Houston area, but we will also look at regional expansion
to serve parts of Texas where there are few or no private agencies
finding homes for waiting children.
We are excited about the potential that this strategy offers and
believe it will enable us to meet our mission in a greater way than
ever before. Just as I look to our non-profit partners for their
input, I also look to concerned parents and families throughout
our community, and invite you to contact me personally at
vfinley@spauldingforchildren.org if you would like more detailed
information or if you have any ideas that might help us fulfill
our mission more completely.
Finding permanent homes for children who have endured abuse, neglect
or abandonment has been our guiding principle for our entire history
and, as we look forward to the future, that principle will continue
to guide us. With our strategic plan as our compass and with the
support of committed, concerned foundations, corporations and individuals
such as yourself, we will continue to meet our challenges with force
and celebrate the milestones we achieve with the satisfaction that
our work is improving the lives of our society’s most valuable
asset – our children. |
