| Placement
Once
you have successfully completed the screening, application and home
study, you are ready for the placement of a foster child in your
care.
Following
is a typical scenario for the placement:
Spaulding
for Children receives a call from the Texas Department of
Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS)
regarding the child(ren) in need of placement.
The
caseworker calls you to see if you are ready to take the child(ren).
At this point the caseworker will not have much information
about the child(ren).
The
TDPRS worker arranges for you to pick up the child(ren) or
brings the child(ren) to your home.
You
work with TDPRS and Spaulding for Children to meet the child(ren)'s
needs. You are responsible for taking the child(ren) to medical
appointments, therapy visits, etc., as needed.
